EverGrace Coffee was born from two things that have the power to bring people together: coffee and grace. Like so many meaningful conversations, this story begins around a cup of coffee.
Coffee has always been more than a beverage. It has been the backdrop for celebrations, study groups, friendships, book clubs, business ideas, milestones, and moments of growth. Some of life's greatest joys are shared across a table with a warm cup in hand.
But coffee also showed up during the hardest season of our lives.
In 2022, we lost our daughter, Grace, at 18 weeks of pregnancy. While nothing prepares you for that kind of loss, we quickly learned the importance of community, grace, and allowing ourselves the space to heal.
As we walked through grief, we were surrounded by blessings we will never take for granted. We had the opportunity to step back, focus on healing, and lean on family, friends, and a community that showed up for us in ways we will never forget. Many of those conversations happened over coffee tables, kitchen counters, and café booths.
Those moments taught us something important: healing isn't something we're meant to do alone.
As time passed, we met countless people carrying burdens of their own. Some had experienced loss. Others were navigating illness, anxiety, burnout, divorce, financial hardship, or challenges that were invisible to everyone around them. Many didn't have the support systems or flexibility that helped carry us through. The more stories we heard, the more convinced we became that we need a different conversation around hardship, mental wellness, and community.
We need to create a culture where it's okay to not be okay.
One of the most impactful books we encountered during our grief journey was It's OK That You're Not OK by Megan Devine. Its message challenged the idea that grief is something to fix and instead encouraged compassion, presence, and honesty. That perspective runs deep in the heart behind EverGrace. We believe healing, growth, celebration, and connection happen more fully in community.
Coffee is the vehicle. Community is the outcome. Grace is the foundation.
